
Train the Trainer
This two-day Train the Trainer Course will give participants the tools and techniques to help them in preparing and delivering impactful training sessions to employees within their organisation.The course will be delivered in an interactive and engaging style and will encourage candidate participation from the outset.Prior to the course, participants will be asked to prepare a short presentation on a topic of their choice which they will deliver to the group on day two of the course.Constructive feedback will be provided on their delivery by the facilitator and other participants. This will help individuals to refine their content and delivery and will also facilitate peer learning.The aim of the workshop is to help eliminate fear and increase confidence around the presentation element of training.
On completion of this training course, participants will:
- Understand the Training Cycle
- Have knowledge of the Four Learning Styles (Honey and Mumford)
- Understand the Learning Cycle (Kolb)
- Know the characteristics of an Effective Trainer
- Understand the importance of Communication in Training Delivery
- Know how to Prepare and Deliver an impactful training courseHave the skills to Evaluate a Training Course (SMART / Kirkpatrick Models)
Day 1: The Theory of the Training Cycle and how to be an Effective Trainer
Day 2: Presentations and feedback providing a hugely beneficial peer learning exercise at the end of the programme
This two day programme will be of huge benefit to anyone who has to deliver presentations or training to in-house groups or teams. It will also be of benefit for anyone who delivers training to external stakeholders either in person or online and will help improve your technique and confidence to facilitate training in a clear and comprehensive manner.
