By booking a training module you agree to accept without modification the Terms and Conditions below. By viewing and using the Site you are deemed to consent to and accept the Terms and Conditions.

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully.

 1. Changes to these Terms and Conditions

We reserve the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes are effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of the Site constitutes your agreement to such Terms and Conditions.

2. Your Status

In order to book a training course you must be at least 18 years old and you must be legally capable of entering into binding contracts.

3. Availability of Training Courses

Any booking for a training module placed through this Site is subject to there being availability of the training module. We reserve the right to decline to supply any individual or company, or to refuse any booking for a training course.

4. Payment

Payment can be made online with the following payment methods accepted: Visa, Mastercard and Laser.

   4.1 Credit Terms and Conditions

   Individual Bookings
Full payment is due two weeks before the start of a course. Payment can be made by either Credit Card, Electronic Fund Transfer, Bank Draft, Postal Order or Cheque. Cash payments are not acceptable. Only full payment secures a place on the course.

   Company Bookings
For new clients an invoice will be sent out at the time of booking and payment should be made 14 days prior to the start of the course. Attendance on a course cannot be guaranteed if full payment has not been received prior to the start of the course. Where a course is booked a couple of months in advance, an invoice will be generated 45 working days prior to the start of the course and full payment is due two weeks before the start of the course. Late bookings, for courses starting in less than a week, are accepted if the company pays by credit card, electronic transfer or cheque.

   Course Cancellation
No refund will be made to delegates who fail to attend classes or who do not complete the course. Cancellation must be made ten days before the course commences, otherwise full fees will be charged and no refund will be made.

    Course Transfers/Substitutions
Companies and individuals may substitute participants at any time prior to the start of the course without additional payment. Companies and individuals can transfer their booking(s) to another date without any additional payments. Course transfer requires that notification by phone or e-mail is received by PAI at least 10 days prior to the course commencement date

Public Affairs Ireland reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any course at any time. In the unlikely event of cancellation, fees will be refunded. Public Affairs Ireland also reserves the right to re-schedule the start dates of all courses and, if necessary, to vary the content. Except where expressly stated, all fees are non-refundable. While every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the information on the web-site, it may be subject to later alteration or amendment in the light of policy changes, course updates or other constraints.

5. Cancellation and Refund Policy

You will have the right to cancel the booking of a training course up to 10 working days before the commencement of that course. In that event you will be entitled to a refund. For cancellations up to 2 weeks before the start of the course, the fee will be refunded less a 15% administration charge. For cancellations made within 10 days or less of the course start date, no refund is applicable.  Details of how to cancel your booking will be sent with your order confirmation. At any time in advance of a course, you can substitute the name of the attendee for another name, without charge.

All training events are run subject to minimum course numbers and PAI will endeavour to give 7 days’ notice prior to postponement or cancellation. PAI Publications Ltd reserves the right to alter or revise the course agenda, including the substitution or replacement of speakers if circumstances necessitate.

We reserve the right to cancel any training course. We shall not be required to provide any reason for such a cancellation. In that event you will be entitled to a full refund.

6. In-House/ Bespoke Training


Organisations are required to pay the fee within 28 days of the date of the invoice.


Cancellations of in-house training courses are subject to a 25% administration fee where the cancellation is made more than one calendar month before the date of the training course. No refund is payable for a cancellation made within the calendar month immediately prior to the training course – in this event the full sum shown on the invoice remains payable.

   Late Payment

PAI reserves the right to charge late payment interest on any outstanding invoice at the rate of 5% above the base rate.

7. Assessment / Extensions

   Re-assessment: €50.

PAI allow one assessment deadline extension per leaner per programme. All assessments are marked per cohort and as such extensions will be granted to the next programme run and due date. Please note all PAI programmes are run subject to demand and as such we cannot guarantee the date or time of the next programme. Should the programme undergo revalidation or significate update, it will not be possible to accept resubmissions based on outdated runs of the course.

Should you miss the extended deadline, a fee of €50 per script will be charged for submission.

   Assessment timelines:

ICM – 6-8 weeks to process certs after results are issued.

QQI – exam board called once per year as PAI small provider. Provisional results will be issued once scripts are back. Training dept to advise.

ILM- 4 weeks to process certs after results are issued.

8.Paperless Office

In line with our environmental policy PAI are now operating as a paperless office, and we are hoping to reduce the volume of wasteful printing. As such we will not be issuing print copies of slides to attendees anymore and will instead be emailing a full electronic training pack at the end of each day to all course participants. If you do however have course exercises, handouts or training material you need printed for your session, we would of course be happy to print that.
