A word from Siobhán:

“It is a real honour to be presenting the keynote address at this year’s PAI Annual HR Conference: ‘Building the Workforce of the Future – An Inclusive Approach to Talent Management’ and I am really looking forward to it.

Publicjobs.ie is the centralised provider of recruitment services for the civil service. We also provide recruitment services for the most senior roles in local authorities, leadership positions and medical consultant roles for the HSE, An Garda Síochána, and a range of specialist professional and technical roles throughout the public sector. We also we help identify suitable people for consideration by Ministers for appointment to State Boards.

We fully understand that attracting and retaining a diverse and engaged workforce is a key factor in delivering on the reforms required to meet the challenges ahead for this country. We also understand that a civil and public service energised by the contribution of employees from all sectors of society will lead to more innovative, productive workplaces and more responsive and inclusive public policies, programmes and services. During my presentation I will be talking about our ED&I strategy, and some of the activity under way at Publicjobs.ie as we work to acquire greater knowledge and understanding of diversity in the recruitment market and the Irish public sector specifically, we are working with the ESRI on an Equality Monitoring Data Dashboard. We are partnering with Deloitte to conduct an ED&I Diagnostic review of all our processes and polices to ensure our recruitment and selection processes encourage and enable access for candidates from diverse backgrounds. Finally in our role as trusted partner, to ensure we model best practice in ED&I in our own organisation while supporting our clients to continue creating more inclusive workplaces, we have been piloting a new way to engage our staff with innovative software tool, Inclusio.

I look forward to seeing you all there!”
