We are delighted to announce that as of today, Public Affairs Ireland has joined with Dublin Academy of Education, Independent College and International House Dublin to form the Axis Education Group.
Each of the group’s educational institutions has had a transformative impact in their respective area of the education sector – none more so than Public Affairs Ireland.
By joining forces, we will strengthen our shared mission of empowering learners at every stage of their learning and development journey to unlock their full potential through effective education. That is education that goes beyond examination success and qualifications to equip learners with the confidence, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills they require to succeed in today’s world.
Together, we will continue to focus on providing exceptional teaching, cultivating optimal learning environments, and enabling real world application of knowledge. Our increased scale and strength will allow us to provide additional investment across our educational institutions to offer even greater opportunities for our learners.
Just as an axis provides stability and direction, the Axis Education Group, through Public Affairs Ireland and its other educational institutions, will be a guiding force for learners throughout their learning and development journeys.
Whether preparing for formal or state examinations, transitioning to and succeeding at third level, enhancing their language skills, entering the workforce, or advancing in professional careers – we will support learners to excel academically, grow personally and thrive professionally.
WHAT’S CHANGING
- Chris Lauder (Founder and CEO of the Dublin Academy of Education) will become Group CEO of the Axis Education Group.
- Padraig Hourigan (CEO of Independent College) will remain President of Independent College and become Group Director of Strategy and Partnerships of the Axis Education Group.
WHAT’S STAYING THE SAME
- Emma McBride will become Executive Director of Public Affairs Ireland and continue to oversee the day-to-day operations of the business.
- Public Affairs Ireland will retain its existing brand, and its day-to-day operations will continue as normal with a focus, as always, on fostering and advancing a culture of continuous lifelong learning within the organisations we work with nationwide, and supporting learners to develop the skills they need to succeed and advance in their professional careers.
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR OUR PARTNERS, CLIENTS AND LEARNERS
- There are no planned changes to the day-to-day operations of Public Affairs Ireland, nor to its programmes, events, or office.
- From the perspective of our partners, clients and learners, it is very much a case of business as usual.
Today’s announcement is another successful milestone in the ongoing development of Public Affairs Ireland. We are incredibly proud of our journey to date and excited about the opportunities for continued growth and success as part of the Axis Education Group.
Best regards,
Emma McBride
