The Menopause Forum Women in the Workplace

00

Webinar Overview

The aim of this forum is to provide a support network for women working through the complexities of menopause and peri-menopause in their workplace. It will aim to provide them with a better understanding of the challenges and how to navigate this period of change, offering comfort and resilience during what can be a challenging time.

Through this online delivery, participants can be as involved or anonymous as they would like with plenty of expert insights and takeaways.

This two hour forum will include the discussion topics below:

  • What is peri-menopause/menopause
  • How it affects us physically and psychologically – addressing commonly experienced symptoms & approaches to help
  • Self-care

More specifically the speaker will look at understanding the terms used, how our hormones affect us…how they are crucial to the way we feel physically and mentally and how our changing hormones place us at increased risk of developing certain diseases as we age. It will also look at HRT and non-HRT approaches to supporting our hormones. The aim is for those attending to feel empowered with evidence based information, so that they can self-advocate for what they need, both in terms of Primary care and GP support, and their own self-care in their daily lives.
