SUMMARY:Supporting Neurodivergent People in the Workplace
DESCRIPTION:Workshop Overview\nMany organisations have put an increasing focus on equality\, diversity\, and inclusion (EDI) in the workplace\, but the needs of neurodivergent workers can often be overlooked in workplace policies and practices. \n  \nThis popular half day online programme provides HR professionals\, line managers and other employees interested in this topic\, with the knowledge and understanding they need to support neurodivergent workers\, from a HR and legal perspective. \n  \nParticipants will gain a greater understanding of how to implement best practice policies and work practice and how create a more inclusive workplace. \nLearning Objectives\n  \n \nDiscussion Topics to include: \n\nUnderstanding key definitions and terminology – diversity\, neurodiversity\, neurodivergence and neuro-inclusion\nUnderstanding the needs of neurodivergent workers\nLegal protections in the workplace: The Employment Equality Acts\, Disability Act 2005 and Safety\, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005\nSupporting neurodivergent workers through good HR practice  (Recruitment and selection – Wellbeing supports – Learning and development – Promoting Dignity at Work – Supporting reasonable accommodations)\n\n  \nHear from our Lead Trainer\nAhead of this Seminar we asked Lead Trainer Síle O’Donnell (FCIPD) what leaders and HR professionals can do to create a work environment where neurodivergent people feel included and supported\, and able to use their strengths?  \n  \n  \n \nIntended Audience \nHR Managers\, Line Managers\, Corporate Leaders and those with people managing responsibilities who would like to gain a deeper understanding into how neurodiverse people can be better included and accommodated in the workplace. \n\n\n\nTailored Training \n\nAll of our open programmes can also be run on an in-house basis.
