Workshop Outline
This practical training will equip participants with the knowledge, skills and strategies necessary to conduct efficient and effective negotiations within the overall procurement process.
With a focus on public sector, it is relevant for professionals working in both public and private sectors who are involved in purchasing goods and services. It will enable effective navigation of the complexities of procurement negotiations, ultimately leading to successful outcomes for participants’ organisations.
The training, alongside providing a high level overview of the principles surrounding Public Procurement in Ireland, will equip you with the necessary technical and soft skills to ensure more favourable outcomes in negotiating for your organisation.
It will increase your confidence entering negotiations and ensure that you have the tools to plan effectively, assess your Supplier’s negotiation objectives and, as necessary refine your objectives accordingly. You will become familiar with various negotiation styles and how compromise is reached. Common pitfalls in the negotiation process will also be shared.
