PAI welcomes you to our NEW Effective Professional Communications and Public Relations one day online seminar which will provide useful and practical guidelines and advice on how to communicate both externally and internally with confidence and professionalism.
Effective professional communications training will provide both you and your organisation with a workable skillset of communication tools (both verbal and written) that can be used both internally and externally to enhance business performance and to portray your business in the best possible light.
Effective communication skills include active listening, verbal communication including asking questions, non verbal communication, paraphrasing and summarising. The key to effective communication is knowing what you want to say and how you are going to say it. You need to listen actively and openly to the feedback received and focus on the information you are receiving in order to communicate any information both accurately and confidently.
Once mastered, these communication skills can be further applied to communication roles where the participant is communicating via social media live feeds, giving public interviews and also communicating internally to their team via written communication (policy updates/company advisories/team updates).
The second half of the seminar will be a peer learning exercise comprising of practical role plays and mock interviews where the participants will be given role plays to assess the detail and level of their communication skills, allowing the trainer to provide feedback on areas of improvement and outlining individual areas of competence already mastered, allowing each participant to take home valuable insights and practical elements of communication that can be applied to their role to improve corporate business profile and performance through their own professional communication skillset.
This seminar will explore core ideas behind successful professional communication. Participants will be shown how they can plan impressive communication, avoid common barriers to effective communication while ensuring they choose the right communication channel and deliver messages that are understood by the receiver.
They will explore their own personal branding and the impact it can have on achieving their required communication outcomes.
The seminar will also outline how to effectively deal with difficult communications particularly from a PR perspective and will show the importance of consistency in messaging and communication no matter what the communication channel.

Barbara Lynch (BA Hons, MBA) is an experienced trainer, facilitator and coach who specialises in the areas of leadership, communication, sales, negotiation and customer engagement.
Barbara set up her own training consultancy 16 years ago and since that time has provided consultancy, training and facilitation services to organisations within both the public and private sectors. Barbara helps organisations bring about real change by designing company-wide workplace interventions customised to suit specific needs.
