Workshop  Overview


Positive mental health fosters healthy relationships with others and it allows individuals to communicate effectively, empathise with others and build strong social connections both in their personal life and in the workplace which are vital for overall well-being.

This workshop is designed for people leaders and team members who deliver through team contribution. The aim of the programme is to equip leaders with both an awareness and a practical toolkit to best provide wellbeing support to their team and in turn foster an open and welcoming environment and culture of support. The style of the workshop is participative and provides support and challenges to participants as it sets direction and pace for creating a supportive culture for delivery.

During the workshop, participants will consider the following areas:

› Explore our own mindsets when we think about powerful conversations and reframing our perceptions
› The role feedback plays in conversations
› How empathetic listening can add impact to the conversations outcome
› Striking the balance between business expectations and wellbeing support
› Recognise when issues may be present, but not shared


Learning Outcomes/Discussion Topics


  • Identify a common understanding of the current challenges and realities of wellbeing support in the workplace
  • How to deliver effective and developmental feedback as part of a powerful conversation
  • How to identify where issues are present and understand your role in providing support while achieving business expectations
  • How to foster and support positive workplace culture during the employee life cycle when it comes to mental health in the workplace
  • Outline the legal obligations and current remote working arrangements that are contained within the Work Life Balance and Miscellaneous Act 2023 to further support employees
  • Awareness of  available resources for employee support

 About Our Trainer 


Laura is an experienced professional with 15 years’ international experience within the HR, Beauty, Aviation, Retail & Hospitality sectors. She has a well developed, strong management, influencing and facilitation skill set. She has been extensively involved in a number of strategic training initiatives which have utilized her proven developmental and commercial
acumen, delivering leading edge people efficiencies. She is an excellent communicator with strong presentation skills who is persuasive, with the ability to generate options and achieve results within fast, dynamic and technical industries. Laura works across all levels of management.
