PAI’s MBTI Masterclass: Know yourself – Know your Team – Know your Style
– Building a robust foundation for life-long personal development
What’s Your Team Type? Applying Personality Analysis to support individual development and enable collaborative teamwork.
What is MBTI?
The Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is the world’s most widely-used psychometric for providing insights and understanding of individual preferences that can drive specific workplace behaviours. It surfaces a range of practical insights on such themes as communication style, absorbing information, making decisions and forward planning. An MBTI workshop is particularly effective for new and existing teams where members wish to have a greater understanding of each other so they can optimise work performance.
At an individual level, MBTI is useful in helping people understand their work preferences and the types of tasks/roles where they will be at their best. People leave the masterclass with enhanced self-awareness which can surface important insights for self development. MBTI is equally applicable to those who currently occupy a leadership role and those who aspire to same.
This three-hour masterclass is designed specifically to help attendees gain an insight into their own individual personality preferences. In advance of the session participants are invited to complete an online questionnaire and then engage in self-assessment as the MBTI framework is explained.
Lots of everyday examples are used to help participants identify their own preferences and there is plenty of opportunity for discussion. Each participant will leave with a detailed report which highlights their best fit personality profile and a deep understanding of their strengths and potential areas for development. The trainer will work with each person to review their results and give them further insights in relation to their current role and valuable food for thought on their approach to work and life scenarios.
Attendees will leave the session with enhanced awareness of :
- Their personal style and how they impact other people
- Individual strengths and potential areas for development
- The contributions that people of different perspectives can bring to team effectiveness.
- Understanding and resolving conflict
- The role of type in providing insights on leader-follower relations
Who Should Attend
This workshop is recommended for anyone from a non-managerial role to a senior manager to assess their individual abilities and styles of working. It is a very beneficial team building exercise for newly formed teams helping members to rapidly progress their interpersonal understanding and mutual effectiveness. MBTI can also provide a valuable reflection for existing teams who are seeking a timely re-fresh.
It will also prove useful for anyone who wants to become more self-aware and who may be thinking about future career progression.
