It will also look at examination in chief and cross examinations. \nIt will look at legal proceedings and ancillary issues focusing on the presumption of innocence\, the duty to preserve documents\, procedural requirements for hearings and Data Protection\, Freedom of Information and Disclosure. \nThe seminar will also detail the direct examination and cross examination process\, including memory refreshing\, being in the witness box\, re-examination and advice for giving evidence. \nParticipants in the courtroom skills traning will gain:\n\nAn introduction to courtroom skills.\nOverview of courtroom procedures\, the order of events\, and The roles of different individuals.\nUnderstanding of the structure of the Courts and Common Characteristics\nUnderstanding how to Prepare to give evidence\, understanding the rules of evidence\, and delivering clear and objective evidence during the examination in chief.\nUnderstanding of Strategies and techniques for giving confident testimony under cross-examination.\n\nWho should attend ?\nThis seminar will be of interest to all legal professionals as well any person who has to attend the Courts Service as part of their job description. \nSeminar Trainer\nMichael Connellan BL is a practicing Barrister.
