Across the public sector\, there is growing recognition that staff require not only awareness of AI technologies\, but also the practical capability to use AI tools responsibly\, effectively\, and in compliance with evolving governance and regulatory requirements. \nThis full-day programme is designed to provide public sector professionals with a practical and accessible understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI)\, AI Literacy\, and the organisational responsibilities associated with AI adoption within modern working environments. \nThe programme explores both the opportunities and risks associated with AI use in the public sector\, including governance\, data quality\, ethical considerations\, information management\, and emerging regulatory obligations under frameworks such as the EU AI Act\, GDPR\, and wider national guidance relating to digital transformation and responsible AI use. \nAlongside this governance and compliance focus\, the programme provides practical insight into how AI tools can support day-to-day work activities\, enhance productivity\, improve efficiency\, and assist staff in managing administrative and operational tasks more effectively. \nThe programme is also aligned with the evolving Public Sector Capability Framework and the growing emphasis on digital capability\, innovation\, critical thinking\, data awareness\, and responsible decision-making across the public service.
