The Minister for Finance Michael Noonan TD has invited expressions of interest from suitably qualified people for appointment to the Board of NAMA.

This announcement comes after a statement made by Government Departments last week detailing the opening up of various positions within State Boards and the promise of further vacancies in the coming months. Suitable candidates have so far been sought for the following Boards; the Food Safety Authority of Ireland, An Post, Bord na Mona, Broadcasting Authority of Ireland, Digital Hub Development Agency, EirGrid, ESB, Inland Fisheries Ireland, Ordnance Survey Ireland, Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland, RTÉ, Bord Gáis, TG4, the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment, the State Examinations Commission and The Teaching Council. There are various positions to be filled, ranging from general board members to chairpersons. All newly appointed members will be expected to comply with the relevant provisions of the Code of Practice for the Governance of State.

The closing date for expressions of interest is 5pm on March 6, 2012.
