The Society of St Vincent de Paul is the largest, voluntary, charitable organisation in Ireland with over 9,500 volunteers. They assist 20,000 families every Christmas in the Dublin area alone. Each year they ask the public to donate whatever non-perishable food items they can in an attempt to make sure that nobody goes hungry over the Christmas period, and that people might receive some treats they wouldn’t be able to buy for themselves.

PAI is taking part by making up hampers containing non-perishables that its staff members, seminar participants and trainers are all helping to provide. We are hoping to have a nice selection of food to send off to the SVP by next Friday the 5th of December.

The following are the types of items which can be included:

Tinned Foods:

  • Tinned Fruit/ Vegetables
  • Packet/ Tinned Soup
  • Tinned Spaghetti and Baked Beans
  • Tinned Tuna/ Fish
  • Tin Stews / meatballs
