Entrepreneur Niamh Bushnell has been appointed Dublin’s first Commissioner for Start-ups.

She co-founded her first company in Dublin in 1996 – Pan Research – and has been active on the tech scene in both Ireland and the U.S.A ever since. She has assisted Irish companies to enter the U.S market through her role in the creation of an Enterprise Ireland-backed online resource called the TechResources Directory. She was recently appointed entrepreneur in residence at Talent Tech Labs in Manhattan.

Bushnell will work in conjunction with Dublin City Council, Enterprise Ireland and the Local Enterprise Offices to maximise Dublin’s potential as a start-up capital for tech and innovative business.
