Taoiseach Enda Kenny TD, and the Leader of the Seanad, Maurice Cummins have announced Fine Gael’s new list of Seanad spokespersons. The new Fine Gael spokespersons are as follows:

 

Government Leader and Northern Ireland– Maurice Cummins

Chief Whip and Defence– Paul Coughlan

Finance– Michael D’Arcy

Enterprise Jobs and Innovation– Deirdre Clune

Public Expenditure and Reform– Tom Sheahan

Education and Skills– Jim Darcy

Environment and Local Government– Cait Keane

Justice, Equality and Disabilities – Martin Conway

Agriculture, Marine and Food– Michael Comiskey

Health– Colm Burke

Arts and Heritage– Eamonn Coghlan

Foreign Affairs and Trade– Michael Mullins

Social Protection and Children– Imelda Henry

Transport – Pat O’Neill

Tourism, Sport and Gaeltacht Affairs– Terry Brennan

Communications, Energy and Natural Resources– Tony Mulcahy

EU Affairs – Catherine Noone

 

Following the announcement, Leader of the Seanad, Senator Maurice Cummins said: “The Senators taking on new roles will have a great opportunity to show their talents in different areas. I am confident that this will make an already strong Seanad team even stronger.” All other Fine Gael Senators retain their existing roles.
