The Minister for Justice, Equality and Defence, Mr Alan Shatter TD has announced he is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified members of the public who wish to be considered for appointment as members of the Private Security Authority, the statutory body with responsibility for licensing and regulating the private security industry in Ireland.
The main functions of the Authority include the control and supervision of persons providing security services and maintenance of standards in the provision of those services and the granting and renewing of licences.
