Ian Drennan has been appointed as the Director of Corporate Enforcement, replacing Paul Appleby who has held the post since the establishment of the Office of the Director of Corporate Enforcement in 2001.
Mr Drennan has held the position of Chief Executive Officer of the Irish Auditing & Accounting Supervisory Authority for the past eight years. He will take up the post on August 29 2012.
The appointment was welcomed by Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton TD who also acknowledged the work of the outgoing Director, Paul Appleby who he said “has contributed significantly to shaping that role and to establishing the compliance and enforcement regime for company law that exists today.”
